A key chain light is very nice to have, if the lights go out, going for a walk or jog so others bikers, cars, can see you. So many bikers n joggers in my college town think People can Them just cause they can See.
This light has lens on the front to make a wide flat patern with a spot in the middle. I can see a white plastic chair 40 ft. away.
A quick tap on the switch is steady on or hold to keep on. Having a light that can recharge is very long term valuable.
