I have been replacing them in my office. You know, standard 4x2 4 tube ceiling fixtures. People came in and could not tell which ones were LED and which ones were still florescent. These are really great at home in my cold garage. No more waiting for flourescents to warm up and stop flickering. LEDs are instant on and really bright in the garage when its cold.

I purchased 2 of these bulbs for the kitchen light fixture that is probably on at least 6-8 hours every day. They have been in use now for about 8 months. The bulbs work great, good light output (I think even a little brighter than the old fluorescent tubes). Ill be slowly replacing all of my fluorescent tubes with these bulbs.

Got home from work and found the (4) 4ft. tube lights had arrived. Took me about 90 minutes to remove 2 electrical ballasts, complete wiring between line, nuetral, test connections, reinstall covers, install the new bulbs and put back the light diffuser. I probably could have done it in less than 60 minutes, but I always double check my connections which results in more time.
I was pleasantly surprised with the light output... Every bit as bright (at least 98%) as the (4) flourescent tubes using a total of 160 watts -- plus the (2) electrical ballasts (~30-40 watts total for these).
Pretty good deal... Same light output for 140 watts less.

I will be ordering another three pairs of these next year. Thanks to my electronics training from the USAF I was able to remove the balast, rewire my fixture (with only one breaker pop). The light is very bright even during the daytime. The quality of the tubes is excellent. I wish they came in red/blue for plant light fixtures.
