Standard Ult0ra Bright 5 Watt Four 1-1/4-Watt LED Light

I purchased a pair of these in January 2008. I used them in a bathroom. They work well for me, although some would likely prefer more light output. But this is not a problem with the product. I am very happy with these lamps. They have proven very durable and dependable even in a moist bathroom environment. They do sometimes seem to emit a small amount of flicker which might be of concern for some users, although it doesnt bother me. Update - As of August 2012 both of these bulbs along with a third one purchased later are still operating without problems. - George (Updated on 8/3/2012.)

The only reason I gave these 4 stars instead of 5 is for their price. I have two warm white bulbs with the clear lens. Perhaps if I chose the frosted lens the light would be better diffused (as is, they are better for directional light applications). These are definitely bright (I use them as down lights in two recessed cans), and they look great... but for $10 less per bulb, you could get a brighter and more radial dispersed LED light (for example - the 5 Watt 35 Super Flux (3 Chip) LED Light, Product Code: 83428) or if directional lighting is preferred, the Par 16 floods are fantastic (though a "tighter" dispersal of light), and the much cheaper 3 watt LED Bulbs (Product Code: 75644, $14.99) are about 75% as bright for less than half the cost.
