LED light isolator is used when the brake/turn light control module/switch asserts low signal for negative ground when not active or asserts high signal when not active for positive ground vehicles, trucks and motorcycles. This causes your taillights not to work. Works for 6 Volt, 12 Volt or 24 Volt systems. Works for either positive ground or negative ground vehicles. Isolator rated for 10 Amps. Each isolator can dissipate 60 watts @ 6V, 120 Watts@12V and 240 Watts@24V. To install isolator you must cut brake light wire and splice the isolator inline in the brake light circuit. The wires are stranded 18 AWG. Comes with two I.D.C. insulation displacement connectors. No soldering required using the crimps. The wire length is 5" each side for a total of 10" for both sides. The isolator diameter is approximately .4" diameter and .4" in length. The isolator is polarity sensitive depending if negative ground or positive ground. For negative ground please have the black wire connect to your light socket. For positive ground please have the red wire connect to the light socket. Please view the specification sheet link for the wiring diagram. If the taillights are not lighting then install the isolator for each LED bulb in the brake light circuit. Please make sure to install the optional load equalizers on the black wire side for positive ground vehicles or install the optional load equalizers on the red wire side for negative ground vehicles. Should also stop back feeding voltage. CE and Rohs. Works for 1954 Chevrolet Bel Air 6 Volt negative ground, 1961 Austin Healey Sprite 12 Volt positive ground.
