I have installed this LED in all my yard lights to replace the halogen lamps. They give a nice, soft, diffuse, white light that I like, and use far less current. They fit exactly into the G4, 2-pin, ceramic sockets. The light output is fine to replace a 10W halogen. The description says they are 12V DC, but they work fine with 12V AC as well. My system is 12V AC and I have had no trouble. I tested them with both AC and DC and light output seems to be the same.
