Got two of these to replace 20W halogens in kitchen undercabinet lights. Theyre fantastic! Only problem is that they use so much less wattage than the halogens that the dimmer has trouble lighting them unless I daisy chain a bunch of the lights together.

18634 is very stable, produces less heat than 85529. I use both in different applications mostly to light paintings as they produce no destructive UV.

Xenon replacements

This is a good replacement of the Xenons that came with the under-counter puck lights I have been using for years. The xenons heated the fixture so much the plastic discolored. This give us much light and no heat, but are slow to start like an old CF. Once up to brightness they are just fine.
