Large bulb, but excellent value

Upon purchasing a couple of these lights, I had trouble finding a fixture that was open and large enough for them to fit into. I currently have them in an open ceiling fixture in my room. The lighting is excellent and fulfills my need for a bright enough LED light at a lower cost. I have since purchased more that will become Christmas presents!

We installed the bulbs on out gate posts two weeks ago in place of halogen bulbs. So far Id have to say that these are working just great. Theyre not quite as bright as the halogen, but honestly, they dont need to be. Theyre plenty bright enough and do a great job - a good choice!

7 watt LED

The bulb is physically too big for the desk lamp I bought it for. I replaced an incandescent in the entrance foyer with this bulb. The light output appears to be equivalent to a 45 watt incandescent. I have recommended LED lights to my friends, but most are reluctant to try because of the initial cost. Those who have tried were not impressed with the light output.
I have noticed a 25% decrease on my electric bill in terms of average kilowatt hours per day since last year with a replacement of heavily used lights in our house. Some of our lighting is still fluorescent (kitchen) and some incandescent (on dimmers). Low wattage, long life, instant on and no mercury are big the advantages of LED. Hopefully prices will come down as more people use them and the light output will improve with technological advances.
